We are so grateful for the generosity of those who came to our first fundraiser!

Lady Hill Winery was as perfect for this event as the weather was on Sunday Sept. 29.  God has truly smiled on our efforts. The wine, food, talks and camaraderie were enjoyed by all who attended.

Fr. John Boyle, Pastor at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Cottage Grove was incredibly inspiring as our Keynote Speaker. Dina Marie Hale, our emcee did a beautiful job both at the fundraiser and in the preparations beforehand.

Our founder, Marie Barzen and our co-founder Claire Anctil spoke about our vision to provide a nurturing home for pregnant women in need.

We raised  to date about 3/4 of our financial target to begin operations.  This moves us into the “looking for a home” phase, as we seek additional funds to ensure continuing operations.  We are discussing options for a follow on fundraiser this winter.

We want to extend our most heartfelt thanks to all those who attended, or donated in the days surrounding the event.  Your gifts are sincerely appreciated and we are honored that you entrusted St. Maria’s Maternity Home with your pledges.

We’d like to also thank Nate and Jamie Snell from Pip’s Original Doughnuts, Helen Heller for the beautiful flowers and Jennica Powers our photographer.  They donated their talents and time to make it a beautiful event.

Saint Maria Goretti and Saint Joseph, pray for us.
